Certifications & Compliance
Deresina Headwear has been trading since 2014 and sells across the UK, the European Union, and internationally. Selling in those markets means meeting a range of product safety, tax, and environmental obligations, and we take them seriously.
This page sets out our certifications and registrations in full. If you are a wholesale, healthcare, or institutional buyer and need documentation we have not published here, please get in touch and we will provide it.
Product and material certification
OEKO-TEX certified fabrics
Our core materials — including the bamboo and cotton used in our caps, bandanas, and sleep caps — carry OEKO-TEX certification.
OEKO-TEX is an internationally recognised testing standard. Certification confirms that a fabric has been independently tested against a defined list of harmful substances and passed as safe for direct and prolonged contact with skin.
This matters more than usual for our products. Our customers are frequently wearing our headwear against a scalp that is sensitive from treatment, and often for most of the day and overnight. Independent testing is not a marketing detail for us; it is the baseline.

VAT registration
We are VAT registered in the United Kingdom and in six additional EU member states. This allows us to sell and ship directly to customers across those markets with tax handled correctly and transparently at the point of sale, rather than leaving customers to deal with unexpected charges on delivery.
EU product safety — Responsible Person
Under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), products sold into the EU must have a designated Responsible Person established within the Union. Ours is:

Packaging and Extended Producer Responsibility
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) is a regulatory framework that holds businesses accountable for the packaging they place on the market — from how it is designed through to how it is recycled or disposed of after use.
We are registered for EPR in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, and the other markets where we operate. In practice, compliance means:
- Data reporting. We record and report the type, material, and quantity of all packaging we place on each market.
- Contribution fees. We pay annual fees to the relevant national environmental authorities. Those fees fund the recycling and waste management infrastructure that handles our packaging once it reaches the end of its life.
- Packaging design. We assess our packaging materials for recyclability and work to reduce unnecessary material where we can.
